Peter Fields is a partner of Ritholz Levy Fields LLP. Peter practices in the areas of corporate, commercial and intellectual property law for clients in a host of industries and specialties including media, entertainment, fashion, technology, sports, film and television, music, publishing, food and beverage, hospitality, gaming, advertising and the arts.

As part of his corporate and commercial law practice, Peter advises domestic and international clients in connection with equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, business formations, corporate governance, reorganizations and restructurings, secured and unsecured lending transactions, executive and employee compensation arrangements, and dispute resolution.

As part of his intellectual property law practice, Peter counsels clients in connection with the creation, exploitation and protection of intellectual property assets worldwide, including trademark and copyright registrations, enforcement proceedings, complex licensing transactions, and acquisitions and divestitures of trademark, copyright and patent portfolios.

Peter is a frequent guest lecturer at various networking venues, tradeshows, law school symposiums, and private client meetings where he addresses current legal topics and other areas of interest. He also writes about intellectual property law issues including an article he wrote entitled “This season’s must-have IP rights” which was featured in Managing Intellectual Property magazine and focuses on the protection of fashion designs under U.S. law.

Prior to practicing law, Peter worked in the legal and business affairs departments of Tri-Star Pictures and Columbia Pictures in New York.
