Nancy Zoubek’s work at Ritholz Levy Fields LLP focuses on United States and international trademark, trade dress, copyright, unfair competition, advertising, licensing, e-commerce and transactional matters. She has more than twenty years of experience advising clients on the creation, expansion, management, commercialization and protection of trademarks, copyrights and related intellectual property and innovations. She has worked with clients, ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations, in a broad range of industries, including consumer product, health and personal care, cosmetics, fashion, clothing, restaurant, food, alcoholic beverage, restaurant, hotel, pharmaceutical, medical device, electronic, software, mobile, film, publishing and entertainment industries. She has managed trademark portfolios consisting of thousands of trademarks and is actively involved in assisting clients with the development, branding, packaging and advertising of products and services. She is also active with policing and taking action against trademark, trade dress, copyright and domain name infringement and misappropriation, including protest letters, actions and administrative proceedings in the United States and worldwide.

Her practice also focuses on advising clients on the intellectual property aspects of a wide variety of commercial transactions. Her experience includes overseeing and evaluating intellectual property audits and due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, debt financing and other forms of corporate and financing transactions, and recommending, drafting and negotiating licenses, non-disclosure, collaboration, distributor, supply, manufacturing, sponsorship agreements and other transactional documents.

Nancy began her legal career working for Pennie & Edmonds, a prominent New York based intellectual property boutique law firm. Thereafter, she joined the trademark, unfair competition and copyright and the licensing and technology transactions practices of a premiere international general practice law firm.

She teaches at the New York Film Academy and has lectured on intellectual property issues at different venues, including the Practicing Law Institute, an ASEAN- United States Patent and Trademark Office sponsored seminar in the Philippines on Intellectual Property Management and Technology Commercialization and a WIPO sponsored seminar on IP Management and Technology Transfer.

Nancy has served on several committees of the Intellectual Property Owners Association and the International Trademark Association. She also headed a project to assist in developing procedures and a guide to more effectively capture and commercialize the value of intellectual property and promote innovation and technology transfer and job growth.
