John Brill is an associate at Ritholz Levy Fields LLP. John specializes in transactional matters in the entertainment industry including in music, television, video games and new media, with an emphasis on digital media distribution and licensing. His practice regularly involves the negotiation of complex content agreements with, and on behalf of, record companies, music publishing companies, content providers, aggregators and digital music services. John also provides production legal counsel for television production companies, and often negotiates and drafts media licenses, talent services and rights acquisition agreements for a variety of clients.
Prior to joining Ritholz Levy Fields LLP as a law clerk during law school, John participated in the Cardozo Tech Startup Clinic, a transactional clinic through which he assisted in advising various startup companies on intellectual property and corporate matters. John also worked as a legal intern in the New York State Office of the Attorney General’s Bureau of Internet and Technology.
