Gillian Sloane is an associate at Ritholz Levy Fields LLP. Gillian’s practice focuses on advising clients in transactional, intellectual property, and corporate matters in the entertainment, music, new media, fashion and apparel, video game, and modeling industries.
Gillian advises clients on a wide variety of agreements including, licensing, sponsorship, recording, music publishing, and touring, among others. She is experienced in counseling clients on the exploitation, protection, sale, and acquisition of intellectual property assets. Gillian’s corporate law practice involves advising clients on corporate governance, business entity formation, restructuring and reorganization, and commercial transactions.
Prior to joining Ritholz Levy Fields LLP, Gillian worked as a contract attorney for two entertainment law firms, providing services for clients in the music, film, and television industries. Gillian also spent time in-house with the Business and Legal Affairs Department at Atlantic Records and as a law clerk at a boutique entertainment firm in Manhattan.
Gillian received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, graduating with a concentration in Intellectual Property & Information Law. During her time at Cardozo, she served as a Staff Editor for the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution, which was ranked first internationally in its field at the time her note on the artist-manager relationship was selected for publication.
