Chase Misenheimer is an associate attorney at Ritholz Levy Fields LLP. His practice focuses on a variety of transactional matters within the music industry as counsel to corporations and creative clients in connection with recording agreements; music publishing agreements; management agreements, licensing and sponsorship deals in addition to a broad range of related transactions. Chase also is engaged in asset purchase and sale agreements, both for buyers and sellers, concerning recording and composition copyrights as well as royalty streams.
Prior to joining the firm, Chase worked at a boutique entertainment firm honing his advisory skills on similar matters. Before pursuing a legal career, Chase was a music producer and music supervisor at a leading advertising agency in New York where he advised and strategized with Fortune 500 clients regarding all music matters. He then moved to Los Angeles, California, transitioning to a licensing role with a top music publisher advocating for writers, artists, and producers in securing placements of their music in advertisements, television programs, and films.
Chase graduated magna cum laude from Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business. He earned his law degree from Belmont University’s College of Law where he centered his studies upon entertainment law and exploring intellectual property law, media law, and sports law.
