Jeffrey Levy is a partner of Ritholz Levy Fields LLP. Since 1987, his practice has been centered in entertainment, media and fashion, including clients in the world of music, television, film, video games and modeling.
Jeff’s broad and diverse practice includes both institutional clients and talent. He has represented and advised Fortune 500 companies who transact in music, media and entertainment, Grammy award winning recording artists, leading industry managers, music publishers, some of the world’s top fashion models and modeling agencies, on-air news talent, authors, private investors in theatrical motion pictures, digital service providers of entertainment content, reality show talent, celebrities, entertainment marketing and public relations companies, media entrepreneurs, and entertainment executives. Jeff has assisted celebrities with crisis management in navigating world-wide media attention. Jeff also spent a portion of his career in-house in several major record companies, and held the position as head of Business & Legal Affairs at Atlantic Records.
Jeff has been quoted in Billboard Magazine, a featured guest speaker at a variety of industry conferences, bar association meetings, and seminars, and as has appeared on national television to comment on the internet’s impact on the music industry. He recently gave a presentation at a major cable television network regarding the intricacies of music licensing.
Jeff received his JD at the University of Southern California in 1986. He is admitted to practice in California (1987) and New York (1989).
